Hiya, Nina! Welcome back to planDisney.
I just returned from a magical vacation at the Walt Disney World Resort, and I loved seeing pixie dust in the air all around the parks and resorts. Have you heard that the
Happily Ever After nighttime spectacular at Magic Kingdom Park has returned? I cried the happiest tears watching Tinker Bell fly through the night skies at the end of the show. Tink needs pixie dust to fly, so that means the pixie dust you're looking for is out there!
As you noted,
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, along with all spa and salon experiences, has not yet reopened. My son and I received glittery pixie dust sprinkles in our hair at
Harmony Barber Shop a few years back, but that experience is also paused for now. I'm wondering if you're talking about
Fantasy Faire or
Sir Mickey's? Both shops are located steps away from Cinderella Castle, and they sell a selection of royal dresses and accessories.
There also used to be a shop in Fantasyland called Castle Couture that featured Princess merchandise. They even had Princess Aurora's dress on display in the shop, and my son loved watching it change from blue to pink and back again. The Fairy-Godmothers-In-Training would come around and talk to the royal visitors and I wonder if that is where you experienced some pixie dust? That shop has since become part of Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique.
Nina, I see you are planning to arrive later this week, so my best advice is to ask a Cast Member at Sir Mickey's about pixie dust. It really was a wonderful experience, and I'm sending faith, trust, and...well, you know the rest! Here's to your wish coming true. (And if it doesn't, maybe a backup bottle of spray glitter would work? Even pixies need some help from time to time!)
Have so much fun on your upcoming visit!
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
