When I went the last time to Disney World back 9 years ago we got a magnet with the list of important dates. Does Disney still send out the important dates? If they do how far in advance of your trip do they do it?

    Greetings, Suzanne!

Thank you for visiting planDisney! Wow, you have quite the memory! Only with your mention can I vaguely remember these magnets from several years ago. If I remember correctly, they gave the dates for when you could book your dining reservations, at the time what was known as FastPass+ selections, resort check-in date and maybe a few more. Ah, Disney history!

If you book a Walt Disney World Resort vacation package, you will still receive some magical mail, but unfortunately not a magnet with the upcoming important dates. Now, you can find much of that information either in My Disney Experience on the Walt Disney World Resort website or through the My Disney Experience Mobile App.

There is less to plan ahead these days, but you will want to make sure that you mark your calendar for 60 days prior to your visit. This exciting day is when you'll be able to make dining reservations and book experiences from the Enchanting Extras Collection. I like to peruse my way through the dining options and extras ahead of time to make a list of my must-dos to be ready to go that day. If you are adding a dining plan to your stay, you can even filter the dining options to see which restaurants participate.

Happy planning, Suzanne! Thank you again for stopping by and please come back with any other planning questions you may have.

    Magical Wishes,

    Lauren

Hi-ya, Pals! I'm Lauren, a wife and mother of three who's enjoyed many special occasions at Walt Disney World Resort with my family and friends. From graduations to birthdays, and even our Fairy Tale Honeymoon we’ve loved celebrating at the most Magical Place on Earth. I now have pre-teens who check wait times in the My Disney Experience App just for fun, so I look for any excuse to return "home" often and would love to help you plan a little extra Pixie Dust for your next magical adventure.
