Moderate resort check in

We went last November and got a package with magic bands. We are going back this November but it’s telling me that if I get New magic bands I will need to pick them up. If we use our old ones we can just go straight to the room. Why is this?

Hello, Sherry! Thanks for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Each time my family and I have booked a Walt Disney World Resort hotel stay at least 60 days in advance, we’ve always had the option to have our MagicBands mailed to our home. Since your 2019 visit is still eight months away, I have to think there’s a glitch that’s not allowing this as an option for you. First of all, double-check your dates to make sure they’re correct. Secondly, you should have an option to customize your MagicBands by selecting a color and choosing a name for each of them. In my experience, once the customization is complete, the option to verify my mailing address comes up. If you’ve completed the customization process and this still is not an option for you, I would reach out to the My Disney Experience, MagicBands and FastPass+ support team via phone, email or online chat to see if they can help troubleshoot for you. Hopefully they’ll be able to get you squared away!

In the meantime, though, you can have multiple active MagicBands connected to your account. Log into your My Disney Experience account on your computer or via your My Disney Experience mobile app and go to the “My Profile” section, then “MagicBands & Cards” to see the ones currently connected to your account or to add new ones, too.

I hope these tips will help you find a solution, Sherry. Please come back if you have additional questions, though.
