    We went in January of this year and it was failry crowded. I am not sure why. Is this not typical for this time of year? I was wondering if something was going on or did we just hit a fluke? The marathon was over. It was also very cold!!!!

    Hi Deborah!  Unfortunately predicting crowds in the parks is impossible and one of the most frequent questions we get.  When Disney runs specials it can boost the numbers up and local conventions can also affect crowds.  This year Disney has run a great special Buy 4 Get 3 Free and also the military special.  All of this could have drawn more then the usual numbers in the parks for January!  The marathon does bring many visitors and many stay after the race and enjoy a week on property.
