Went on our first trip WDW in June and fell in love. Trying to plan a trip beg of dec for Christmas. Want to plan more time for resort fun and downtown disney. Are the pools heated at the resorts?

    Hi Noelle,

I can relate to your experience of falling in love with Walt Disney World!  My first visit was on my honeymoon and I fell in love with two men on that trip - Mickey and my husband.  I'm proud to have you as one of the family now.

One thing that you will experience on your next vacation is that no two trips are alike.  Just as the seasons of life have their own highlights, so do vacations in Walt Disney World. You have a great idea to spend more time exploring the Resort Hotels and Downtown Disney.  You are going to fall even deeper in love when you visit in December when the Christmas decorations are up and the holiday spirit is in full swing.  Last year when I visited in December I took advantage of the fantastic shopping at my Resort Hotel and the theme parks and was able to bring back many special Christmas presents (as if I needed an excuse to shop!).

Good news!  Yes the Resort Hotel pools are heated in the winter months.  Although the pools (and hot tubs) are heated in December sometimes the air can be quite chilly, especially in the evening.  Therefore I recommend you plan ahead and make sure you have plenty of towels and a coverup handy when you get out of the pool.

Noelle have a MAGICAL vacation!  Please be sure to come back and visit us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel with any more vacation planning questions that you may have.

    Blessings,
    Brenda ºOº
