Hello! We went as a family in June to WDW and it was wicked hot! My husband and I would like to return in October ( thinking 10/16 ). We will be going solo, leaving the DD at home with the grandparents. Can you tell me what the crowds and weather are like?

Hi Lindsay!  October is a changing month where the weather is trying to decide what to do.  Right now it is still hot and humid and yet in a couple of weeks you should start to see some changes with the temperatures going down and the humidity levels lowering.  Of course one can never tell when this will happen so you prepare for anything at this time of year.  The average temperature is 85 degrees for a high and the average lows are about 65 degrees.

This is a great time for a parents only trip too. EPCOT is hosting their annual Food and Wine Festival and it is fun to walk around the world a few times tasting the delicacies of each country.  There are many great seminars and other special events during this time as well.  Click HERE to read more about it!
