Ghoulish greetings and welcome to planDisney, Mariko. We're so glad you stopped by to share this question with us and I'm simply dying to help out.
The spooky season is upon us and
Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort is in full swing. I'm so glad to hear that you've already made a visit to enjoy the festivities and that you are already planning to go back. I just returned from a visit and I'm also trying to figure out if I can squeeze in another before the spooky season departs.
Halloween Time officially descended upon the resort on August 23rd and will run through October 31st and the resort is decorated and giving its autumnal best. I'm sorry to hear that you may not have felt like you saw as many decorations during your visit. While all of the decorations are currently on display, I have some suggestions for places to visit to immerse yourself in the frighteningly fantastic fun.
Upon entering Disneyland Park, you can't miss the giant Mickey pumpkin waiting to greet you in Town Square. Head down Main Street, U.S.A. towards Sleeping Beauty Castle to take in the
Pumpkin Festival lining the street and see how many hand-carved pumpkins you can spot. One of my favorites can be found above the 20th Century Music Company on the right side. You'll see why I "Can't Help Falling in Love." Another spirited place to visit is
Haunted Mansion Holiday to see how Jack Skellington and pals have wrecked the halls. The only way to experience this attraction right now is to claim your spot in the
virtual queue, so get those fast fingers ready.
At Disney California Adventure Park, my favorite place to peep
decorations is in "Radiator Screams" in Cars Land. The residents have gone all out with their Haul-O-Ween décor and there's no shortage of spooktacular things to see. The decorations are especially fang-tastic at night with all of the lights. Which reminds me, for an extra spooky touch, hang out on Route 66 around sunset to see all of the neon signs light up the town to a terrifying tune. Once night has fallen, be sure to make your way back toward Buena Vista Street to see the haunting beauty of the trees illuminated in purple twinkling lights.
Finally, take a stroll down
Downtown Disney District to admire all of the bewitching decor. I especially love the "Halloween Time" Jack-O’-Lanterns near the parking tram. There are so many great photo ops, not to mention some great places to eat and shop! If you look up, you might even spot a festive pumpkin or two from
Pluto's Pumpkin Pursuit.
Mariko, I hope that this is helpful and gives you some ideas for feeling some fall vibes and getting into a spooktacular mood. Let us know if you have any other questions that we can help with. Here's wishing you a spellbinding time at the Happiest Place on Earth!
