Hi Jennifer! Welcome to planDisney!
Whenever I am at home planning our next
Walt Disney World Resort stay, my first thought is about the next time I get a chance to walk down Main Street, U.S.A. and take in the sights and sounds of the
Magic Kingdom Park. There is nothing quite like arriving at the park before opening and being one of the first Guests to experience it all.
Once you arrive for the opening, head straight down Main Street, U.S.A. toward
Cinderella Castle. While there is not a parade to begin the day,
Let the Magic Begin is a short stage show held at the front of the castle to get it all started. You'll be greeted by Mickey Mouse himself along with a few extra surprises. Make sure to enter the park as soon as the gates open since the show begins about five minutes prior to the official park opening.
If you have your heart set on a parade, the
Festival of Fantasy Parade returns to the Magic Kingdom on March 9th and will be held daily. I still remember bringing my daughters for the first time and watching their faces as their favorite characters went by. We staked out the perfect spot in Liberty Square where we smiled ear-to-ear and waved to everyone.
Don't forget about the
cavalcades that will pass by during the day. They typically start in Frontierland and end at the front of the park. You'll get plenty of chances throughout the day to catch a number of these experiences. There is a wide variety of characters that participate in each, so you should have a great chance of seeing one of your favorites. On my most recent trip, we made an Advanced Dining Reservation for
Tony's Town Square Restaurant and requested a table for the patio. While we were seated, most of the cavalcades passed right by our table for the perfect viewing location!
Jennifer, if you time your day right, you may have a great chance of catching all that the Magic Kingdom has to offer. I hope you have a magical vacation!
See ya real soon!
