Welcome new panel. Love ur site. Will be at WDW May 2011. Hubby on r&r frm Iraq & our Anniv. We have stayed at GF at Xmas and loved it was looking at BWI . No kids. Which would be better. Like Club level any advice on that? thanks for the advice.

Hi Lisa!  Disney will be a perfect place for you and your husband to spend some rest and relaxation during his military leave and also for your anniversary.  We thank your husband for his great service to our country and big congratulations on your anniversary!

I think you will enjoy the change of location for this trip and the Boardwalk Inn or the Yacht Club would be my choice to recommend a different resort.  Both club levels are outstanding and quiet with wonderful service.  The Yacht Club often has business groups there for conventions and those that are lingering in the lounges are there for this purpose.  Of the three resorts in this location, the Beach Club will be the one where many families are choosing to stay.

Staying on the club levels is special as you will have concierges at your beckon call to help with reservations, transportation, and just about anything else. You can call them several months ahead and they will make all of your advanced dining requests to the best of their ability.  The lounges are set up so there is some sort of food and drink out all day and evening.  We love coming back from a park and heading in to grab one of their great cookies before resting in the room.  When staying on club level we do not participate in any dining plan as we have always felt it isn't getting the most of your money since it duplicates some of the meal needs.

The location in relationship to EPCOT is wonderful as you are only a five minute walk to the International Gateway entrance.  When we stay here we enjoy heading to this park in the evenings for dinner and to just walk around the World Showcase.  You will also have the Boardwalk area to enjoy in the evenings. Be sure and hit Jellyrolls where you can find the dueling pianos every night. There is a small cover charge but it is fun and worth at least one stop during your vacation!

Final recommendation......Boardwalk or the Yacht Club resort!
