I am a Weight Watchers follower and we have the dining plan for our upcoming trip in March, 2012. Is there anyone who has visited recently that can share some tips for how to eat healthfully around the parks? We are visiting all the parks during our stay

    Hi Beth!

Congratulations on your commitment to eating healthy and taking care of yourself.  Often on vacation, we "forget" this and end up overindulging.  Take into account that you will be active and walking everywhere!  My favorite restaurants to eat at are The Wave at the Contemporary and Coral Reef Restaurant at Epcot.  The Wave has a fantastic menu and is geared toward eating very health conscious.  It is delicious too!  The Contemporary is right on the monorail so you can easily visit when you are at Epcot or The Magic Kingdom.  Coral Reef is near The Seas with Nemo and Friends.  They have a wonderful seafood menu that is very healthy.  I want you to know that any of the restaurants can make you healthy or vegetarian options.  You need to speak with your waiter before ordering.  The chefs at all the restaurants would be happy to help you in any way.

I find that at Disney's Animal Kingdom near Africa the snacks to be a great option as well. The Harambe Fruit Market has pineapple, apples, fruit cups, oranges and bananas just ready to be eaten!  My children love this stop and it is very refreshing in the summer!

I have more to say on this but have run out of room.  Please send me a followup question and good luck!
