How much weight can the single beds in the DVC Polynesian tower support?

    Aloha, Robert!

Thank you for sending this question directly to me here at planDisney! One of my favorite things about answering Disney Vacation Club questions is that I get to learn right alongside our Guests. While I don't own a piece of the magic just yet, I absolutely understand why so many Members love hearing that special "Welcome Home" greeting and treasure the incredible resorts that make Disney Vacation Club feel like home away from home.

Speaking of home, Disney's Polynesian Villas & Bungalows and the new Island Tower are practically bursting with island charm! Your question was so specific that I knew it was time to call upon the planDisney 'ohana. One thing I've learned over the years is that there really isn't much the planDisney hive mind can't tackle!

A special mahalo goes to my fellow panelist Allison, who recently stayed at the Island Tower and went above and beyond to help track down an answer. During her stay, the wonderful Front Desk Cast Members connected with Disney Engineering and were able to confirm that the single pull-down beds have a weight capacity of approximately 150–250 pounds.

Robert, because room furnishings and specifications are always subject to change, I recommend checking with Disney Vacation Club Member Services or the Front Desk for the most up-to-date information regarding your specific accommodations. But thanks to a little teamwork and some extra pixie dust, we were able to uncover the answer for you!

And while you're embracing island life, I have to put in a good word for Wailulu Bar & Grill at the Island Tower. If your timing works out, try to catch Happily Ever After from there. I'm a sucker for fireworks, and there's something so magical about watching them sparkle over Cinderella Castle from across Seven Seas Lagoon while lingering over dinner. That's the kind of Disney memory I could relive again and again.

Hope this info was helpful. And please don't hesitate to stop by again for any more planning questions or tips.

    See ya real soon!
