Is there a weight limit for the amphicars at Disney Springs? My husband is skinny But I’m about 280. I don’t want the embarrassment of being rejected in person! Also, can advance reservations be made or do you have to reserve in person the day of?

    Welcome back to planDisney, Melissa!

Thank you for sending another question our way. Nothing makes us happier than helping Guests plan a magical visit filled with pixie-dusted experiences!

Sailing the waters of Lake Buena Vista in a vintage amphicar is a unique way to create unforgettable memories of your vacation with your husband. You are welcome to book a 20-minute guided tour daily from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. (weather permitting). Advance reservations are not accepted, but you can walk up to The BOATHOUSE BOATIQUE on the day of your visit to check availability. For a limited time, Guests are eligible to receive a $25 reward toward an amphicar tour when they make a purchase of $50 or more at The BOATHOUSE or The BOATHOUSE BOATIQUE. Please note that you will be required to present a valid receipt and that all offers are subject to change without notice.

I personally called The BOATHOUSE to request information on weight limits and restrictions for this experience. The wonderful Cast Member who assisted me explained that the amphicars usually accommodate 3 to 4 people, so you should have no issues enjoying this experience with your husband. In addition, they are currently encouraging a maximum number of 2 Guests per tour in order to promote social distancing – under certain circumstances 3 Guests might be allowed. Please bear in mind that you and your husband will be kindly asked to sit in the backseat, as it is not possible to sit up front next to the captain at this time.

Melissa, it was a pleasure assisting you today. Come back to visit us if you have additional questions, we are here to help you at planDisney.

    Best magical wishes,
