Hi Louise,
Thank you for stopping by planDisney with your great question about
Attractions at Walt Disney World. It looks like you will be visiting in just a couple of weeks, and I bet you are getting so excited!
You will be happy to know that there are no weight limits posted for the attractions at Walt Disney World, however for some rides there are minimum height restrictions. Now even though there are not any weight limits posted, some rides are more comfortable than others if a Guest is very tall or even Pooh or Baloo sized.
In my experience, the seating of
Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and
Astro Orbiter at Magic Kingdom is rather a snug fit for larger Guests. Additionally at Magic Kingdom, I find the seats on
Space Mountain to be quite low to the ground but if you ask to be seated in the front row you will have extra legroom and be able to get in and out of the ride easier. There are other attractions that fit 1-2 Guests per row, such as
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, and larger Guests may be more comfortable having a row to themselves.
At Disney's Animal Kingdom,
Avatar Flight of Passage has a test seat outside its entrance for Guests to check the comfortability of the "seat" and I highly recommend checking it out before entering the attraction queue. At Disney's Hollywood Studios, if you ask to be seated in the front row at
Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith you will also have extra leg room to get in and out of the ride vehicle. The same principle is true for
Test Track at EPCOT.
Thank you for stopping by planDisney for official information about vacationing at the Walt Disney World Resort. As you continue your vacation planning, I highly recommend checking your official
Walt Disney World source for information as there are some misinformation traps out there. But here at
planDisney, we are always here for you when you need us!
You've Got a Friend in Me,
