What the weight to fit spring ride

Hey there, Hi there, Ho there, Annette!

I’m glad that you reached out to us with your question. As someone who loves visiting amusement parks around the world, I totally understand – you want to make sure that you can make the most of your trip to the resort. I've had family members who have also faced body size restrictions that have made it challenging for us to enjoy the day. But one thing I love about the Disneyland Resort is that it's designed to accommodate guests of all shapes and sizes - everyone is welcome to experience the magic!

I recently stopped by Guest Relations to find out which specific rides have any size restrictions, and I'm happy to say that nearly all rides are accessible to everyone. In fact, seat restraints across the resort are designed to handle weights of up to 600 pounds.  Some of the rides that use these safety restraints include Luigi's Rollickin' Roadsters and Guardians of the Galaxy - Mission: BREAKOUT!, among many.

From what I gathered, the only ride that might cause a slight delay is Space Mountain, since there is a special vehicle that ensures a safe weight distribution. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is another great option because it can accommodate larger guests, although not everyone in your party may be able to ride together at once. Overall, it sounds like there are plenty of attractions that can be enjoyed by guests of all shapes and sizes, and you and your husband should have a fantastic time on your visit!

The only exception is the Silly Symphony Swings at Disney California Adventure Park, where the individual seats may not provide enough space for larger guests.

I hope this information gives you some peace of mind, Annette. I know that you’ll be able to enjoy all the rides and attractions just as much as any guest. If you have any more questions, feel free to visit us again - We’re here to help.
