I am 5'5" and weigh 325 lbs. Will I be able to fit on the rides in the parks? I use a seat belt extender from the airlines when I fly. Do I need to bring a belt extender to the park and if so what kind? Do they have special seats for large folks?

    Hi there, Susan!

I'm so happy that you stopped by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question!

One of the many things I enjoy so much about the Walt Disney World Resort is that it's just perfect for Dreamers of not only all ages, but all shapes and sizes too!

I'm a little on the "fluffy" side myself and I had this same concern the first time I traveled to Walt Disney World. You can rest assured that you will not need a belt extender on the Attractions as they are made to fit us all. Please visit the "WDW At Large" section of AllEars.net when you have a moment as there are many tips there from Guests who have experienced it all.

One thing I'd like to be sure to share with you that I actually had a bit of an issue with was on the brand new Seven Dwarfs Mine Train Attraction. When you sit down, the safety bar actually goes over your knees and quite a ways up on your thighs; it can get a little uncomfortable depending on how tall or short your legs are. There is some great info on this from other Guests on AllEars.net as well!

There are a few things at Walt Disney World that have weight restrictions, but there are not special seats for large folks. There are turn-styles in the line on Peter Pan's Flight and at the train stations at Magic Kingdom Park that are sometimes tight and you can always ask a Cast Member to let you go through a gate.

I sure hope this helps, Susan! Please don't hesitate to write back in if we can help with any other questions you have.

Wishing you and your family a Pixie Dusted vacation!
