Hi Annie-Claude, and welcome to planDisney!
What an exciting time to visit
Walt Disney World Resort! Mid-December is truly one of the most beautiful and festive times of the year to be there. From the moment you arrive, you’ll find the parks and resorts decked out in their holiday best, filled with wreaths and lights, festive treats, and special holiday entertainment. Between Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, Disney Jollywood Nights, and the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays, you’ll have no shortage of ways to celebrate.
To answer your question, both
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at Magic Kingdom Park and
Disney Jollywood Nights at Disney’s Hollywood Studios are separately ticketed evening events. For 2025, both of these parties take place on select nights throughout November and December, including during your visit dates. Specifically, there are events scheduled on December 16, 18, 19, and 21 for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and December 17, 20, and 22 for Jollywood Nights.
On those evenings, Guests who do not have tickets to the party will need to exit Magic Kingdom Park by 6:00 PM or Disney’s Hollywood Studios by 7:00 PM. The good news is that these parks often feel a little less crowded during the daytime hours on party dates, since many Guests choose to visit on non-party days to maximize their time. So if you have the Park Hopper Option included with your tickets, you could plan to enjoy Magic Kingdom or Hollywood Studios earlier in the day, then hop to another park or head to one of the
Disney Resorts Collection hotels for a relaxing dinner once the party begins.
Since you’ll be there during the holiday season, I’d also recommend spending some time at
EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays. It’s a wonderful way to experience traditions from around the world through festive food booths and the stunning Candlelight Processional (a fan-favorite event) featuring a live orchestra, choir, and celebrity narrators retelling the story of Christmas. You’ll also find plenty of festive treats and performances throughout the World Showcase that make it easy to get into the holiday spirit.
Annie-Claude, it sounds like you’re setting yourself up for an incredible visit filled with festive fun. If you’d like more help planning your park days, dining reservations, or learning how to make the most of your time during the busy holiday season, swing back by planDisney anytime.
I’d be happy to help you make the most of every moment of your stay.
