We are are heading to Disney to celebrate all our Birthdays next week and it calls for rain in several days. What are some of the best ideas/suggestions for Disney parks in the rain.

    Hi Stephen!

First, I would say if it rains, definitely head to the parks!  I've generally found that the parks are a lot quieter on a rainy day.  That said, you want to visit the right park on a rainy day, especially if it's supposed to be raining hard.

If your schedule is flexible,  the best park to visit on a rainy day is the Magic Kingdom.  That's because all of the attractions are fairly close together and there are a lot of indoor attractions.  After that, I recommend Epcot.  Epcot is huge and the pavilions are spaced far apart, but once you are in a pavilion, you can stay there for a very long time.  If it's a fast moving storm, then hopefully the rain will be gone by the time you exit a pavilion.  The worse park to visit on a rainy day, in my opinion, is Animal Kingdom.  That's because most of the attractions are outside at that theme park.

A word of warning... a lot of guests head to DisneyQuest on a rainy day!  I definitely recommend not doing that.  DisneyQuest is historically packed when it is raining outside, or even if there is just the threat of rain.

Have a magical trip next week!
