We,family of 5, are cruising in 4/2012. How accurate are my needs/requests met regarding flights BOS-MCO? What airlines are used and if nonstop flights are the norm? Wondering about statistics and personal experiences with DCL booking flights. Thanks

    Hi, Christine!

Congratulations on your Disney Cruise Line vacation next spring! My preference is always to book my flights independently.  I feel like I have better control over when, where and how I fly, and I like dealing directly with the airline should I need to alter my travel arrangements.  Plus, with the large family I have, we usually are using a combination of frequent flyer miles and/or discounted airfares based on airline promotions.  Sometimes, we even fly separate airlines in order to get the best deals.

When booking air travel, the Disney Cruise Line travel specialists are going to make note of your travel requests, but they are simply acting as travel agents with the airlines. Therefore, they are going to give you the best options available to them as a third-party provider, and there is little "wiggle" room in terms of being flexible with changes. For me, I prefer to book each leg of travel on my vacations directly with the provider.

I hope this helps you plan, and please let me know if I can answer more cruise questions for you before you sail. Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation.

    Bon voyage,

    Andi
