What weeks in the year are the least busy in all the parks?

Hey there, hi there, Priscilla! You're as welcome as can be here at planDisney! I'm so glad that you've stopped by with such a great planning question.

Squeezing every drop of magic out of my Walt Disney World Resort vacations is the name of my Disney game! There is never a bad time to visit The Most Magical Place on Earth, but I do love visiting during the slower times of year to experience as many attractions and magical moments as possible with lower wait times and crowds. I'm more than happy to share my experiences and answer your question today.

While there is no way for me to know exactly when the least busy times at Walt Disney World Resort will be, I have found some trends in low-crowd weeks and months in the past. Historically, January has been a month with lower crowd levels, however, you do have to be mindful of the runDisney Marathon weekend and the EPCOT International Festival of the Arts, which may draw in more Guests. However, the Festival of the Arts is my absolute favorite EPCOT Fest, so I suggest that you don't miss it and catch it in January! In my experience, I have also found early May to be a fantastic time to visit with lower crowds and beautiful weather.

In the past, when I visited in September, specifically the week after Labor Day, I enjoyed very low crowd levels, even during the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival. One of my very favorite times to visit, however, is the week after Thanksgiving, as the crowds never seem to be high, the weather is great, and the holiday season is in full swing. It's the very merriest!

I have also been loving my magical summer visits to The Most Magical Place on Earth! I have found that the summer crowds have been decreasing as the fall crowds seem to be increasing, and I love using the heat as a practically perfect excuse to take midday cocktail breaks at my Disney Resort Hotel's fabulous pool.

Priscilla, I have noticed that as more and more people around the world are returning to travel and returning to Walt Disney World Resort, the trends in crowd levels are becoming harder and harder to predict. Since there is always something incredible to do, see and taste at Walt Disney World Resort, I suggest planning a visit any time of year that works for you and just taking advantage of the time-saving tools on the My Disney Experience app, such as Disney Genie+, Mobile Food and Beverage Ordering and Merchandise Mobile Checkout. It's the perfect way to spend less time waiting in line and more time soaking up the magic!

I hope this was helpful, Priscilla, and I hope you stop by any time with any planning questions you may have along the way. You've got a friend in planDisney!

    Happy planning!
