Hi, Quay!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and congratulations on your pregnancy! I’m thrilled to hear you’re planning a trip to the Happiest Place on Earth.
I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised by how many
Disneyland Resort attractions you’ll still be able to experience as a pregnant mom--I know I was when I was expecting my first child! However, there are a handful of thrill rides in each theme park that women in all stages of pregnancy are advised to avoid. Try visiting the Disneyland Resort website’s
Attractions page and select the Expectant Mothers Advisory box under the Accessibility & Advisories tab. This will generate a list of attractions you should not ride while pregnant in the interest of your and your baby’s safety.
When I was pregnant and exploring the theme parks, it helped to build some downtime into our touring plan. We’d make sure to take breaks to enjoy a cool drink and snack on a shady bench. A round trip on the
Disneyland Railroad offers about 20 minutes of shade and fresh air, with the added benefit of a relaxing, scenic trip around the park from the comfort of your seat. You can also ask for free paper cups of iced water at any quick-service restaurant to prevent dehydration and combat swelling from the time spent on your feet.
I hope this helps you plan, Quay! Please visit us again with more questions as your pixie-dusted vacation approaches.
Wishing you magic,
Courtney
