Hi, I will be 20 weeks pregnant when we embark on our cruise. We are keeping the gender in a sealed envelope. I am hoping to do something fun on board to reveal the gender to myself and my husband. Any fun ideas of what can be done on board? Thanks!

    Hi, Kelly!

What an exciting time in your life, as wait to see whether you're having a boy or a girl. It's truly one of life's greatest surprises! I hope you are having a happy, healthy pregnancy so far, and will continue to until you meet your family's newest member. What a blessing!

Since my girls are fifteen and twelve, the "gender reveal" revelry was pretty much after our time. It's so neat to see all the fun, creative ways parents choose to reveal the gender! (It's tempting to want another baby just to participate in all the fun!)

When you sail with Disney Cruise Line, your dining experience is truly amazing. The best thing about the Disney Cruise dining experience is Rotational Dining. With Rotational Dining, each Guest will get the chance to experience each of the themed dining areas on the ship. Each night, your servers will rotate with you to one of the three Main Dining areas. The wait staff will get to know your tastes and preferences - it's an awesome way to have personalized service throughout your cruise! You'll get to know the servers well as they interact with you throughout your meals, and you'll appreciate everything they do to make your dining experience special and unique!

My suggestion would be to speak to your servers about your plans. I'm sure they would be more than excited and honored to help with the reveal one evening at dinner! Our servers have always gone above and beyond to make us feel special, and I'm sure they would love to participate in such a fun moment with you.

Another neat way would be to have one of the "face" characters, such as a Disney Princess or Peter Pan, open the envelope and read the results. You would have such a great video to show your little one in the future! Captain Jack Sparrow is usually onboard at some point during your sailing - I'm sure his announcement would be amazing as well!

These are just a few suggestions - I hope it helps! - Diane W.
