3 weeks! DH @ a conf. so just me and DD7 for 2-3 days. Last visit (2009), we had breaks in the day at resort for lunch, rest, etc. This trip, I'm not able to schedule that in as often. Can we use the Baby Ctrs for rest, lunch & dress for late BBB app

    Cindy,

I understand how difficult it is to get those breaks in on shorter visits!

I think you will find that the Baby Center in the Magic Kingdom is pretty cramped, and it may not be the ideal place for a few of the activities you mention. But on the whole, I do think it is your best plan. So what should you do?

Rest:Baby Care Centers are a great place for a rest. There is a small area, like a lounge, with a TV, some toddler toys, and of course you are in air conditioning! If, however, when you get there it seems not right for your needs, some alternatives would be to visit an indoor quick service restaurant after the lunch rush is over. They typically remain open all day, and though she may not get a nap in, many have good nooks and crannies where she can get some down time in. In the Magic Kingdom I would recommend doing this at Cosmic Ray's.

Lunch: I don't think the Baby Care Centers are ideal places to grab lunch. They really are not equipped for it for older kids. But you can always eat at a Disney restaurant, or if you are bringing your own lunch in, you can still go into one of the quick service restaurants and dine there. Again, Cosmic Rays is a great place for this.

Dress: Assuming you took time to rest in the Baby Care Center, there are some baby changing rooms there. But these are really for baby changing, and frankly you may find it easier to use one of the larger stalls in the park bathrooms. Otherwise you are going to be changing her in a more public setting.

BOTTOM LINE: I think you can get a great break in at the Baby Center, but otherwise you will find that some of the other park accommodations actually serve you better. But the plan is a good one, so stick to that, and enjoy the makeover!

    Have a magical vacation!
