HI! What weeks would be the best in the spring for planning a trip to Disney World in 2016? We were hoping for January of 2016 but may move it up to the spring but want to avoid the heavy crowds and go on an off week if possible.

Hi Jennifer,

Spring is a great time of year to visit Walt Disney World. The weather is gorgeous and warm, without the heavy summer humidity and the Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival brings Epcot to life in full color.

In 2016, Easter will be on March 27. Crowds will most likely be at their largest from mid-March through the week after Easter when most schools are on Spring Break. In 2013, Easter was on the last weekend of March and the parks were much less crowded one week after Easter through the rest of April. I would definitely suggest looking into the middle or end of April, if possible. The unofficial sites TouringPlans.com and EasyWDW.com have great crowd calendar tools to help you pick the best week.
