Is there a weekday in May that is less crowded ?

Hello there, Patti! Thanks for stopping by planDisney.

While it is truly hard to predict what Disneyland Resort theme park attendance may be on any given day, a good rule of thumb is to avoid major holidays or times when school might be out of session. So I would suggest timing your visit before Memorial Day, to avoid an influx of visitors who have a long weekend. I would also suggest visiting before summer, which begins for some school districts toward the end of May. Another tip would be to pay close attention to the cost of Disneyland Resort theme park tickets on a given day - if the ticket price is on the higher side, then it is usually an indication of a historically higher crowd level.

Patti, if you are hoping to beat the crowds, one of my biggest planning tips is to get to the parks first thing in the morning. The Disneyland Parking Areas open an hour before the earliest standard theme park opening for the day. It is the easiest time to get through security and on a tram or bus before heading into the parks. Getting to the theme parks first thing in the morning is my family's go-to strategy. We often ride several rides before we notice longer wait times at the more popular attractions. Early morning is also the best time to grab some photos without a huge crowd of people!

I hope this information helps with your planning, Kim! Please come back and ask me any other questions that you may have.

    Have a magical day,
    Melissa
