    We are going to be there the week of thanksgiving. My dd bday is on thanksgiving and we have a very busy morning at mk but I was wondering if there was any kind of special thanksgiving day parade or something similar. Thank you for all the great info.

    Hi Jamie! Sending an early Happy Birthday to your daughter.....I share a birthday that week with her and have often celebrated my own on Thanksgiving day!

    The Thanksgiving holiday is one that is not celebrated with any special parades or shows at Disney.  But there are other ways to have fun and enjoy the special birthday. I suggest you purchase a turkey hat for her to wear all day in the park. You can find these at the novelty internet sites such as oriental trading or Rhode Island novelty. Decorate it with birthday streamers and pin a Disney Happy Birthday button on it. She will love all the special comments sent her way and since I will also be there during that time I will keep an eye out for her to wish her a special greeting myself. I will likely have a turkey hat on too!

    No matter what you do or where you will be I know this will be a very special birthday that the entire family will not forget.
