Is the week of Thanksgiving a busy week at the park?

    Hi Sara,

I just love spending the holidays at Walt Disney World Resort. I took my family there to celebrate Thanksgiving a few years ago and we made some amazing memories. I'll never forget the delicious Thanksgiving dinner we enjoyed at Artist Point on the ground floor of Disney's Wilderness Lodge.

If you consult the various crowd calendars available online, you will notice that holidays like Thanksgiving typically bring large crowds to the Disney theme parks. However, that doesn't deter me from visiting then. If you arrive at the theme parks at opening time and make judicious use of your FastPass+ reservations, you'll be able to do and see quite a bit. You'll definitely want to set aside some time to visit the Walt Disney World Resort hotels, too. They are all decked out in their holiday finest during the week of Thanksgiving.

Also, if you enjoy Christmas music, the Candlelight Processional at Epcot is a must do! The first presentation of this awe-inspiring event in 2018 is November 22nd. I can always count on a Candlelight Processional performance to get me in the Christmas spirit. Guests who book a Candlelight Processional Dining Package will have guaranteed seating at one of the nightly performances.

Let us know if you need any additional advice as you plan your vacation. My friends and I here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel would be delighted to provide whatever information you may find useful.

    Wishing you many magical memories,
