We're going for a week in September (me, hubby, two kids) and I'm struggling with ADR because I don't know which parks we'll be at when or what we'll be in the mood for. It's off-season and shouldn't be very crowded. Is it still better to make ADR?

    Hi Angela!

Historically September is a month that Disney offers "free dining" to guests staying in a Walt Disney World hotel.  They may or may not offer that promotion again this year, but if they do you can expect the Table Service restaurants to be full and crowded, while the parks are not as busy.  You're right, it is a quiet time of the year, which is why Disney offers the promotion then... but the promotion causes the Table Service restaurants to be packed.  In fact, many will have signs out saying that it's impossible to walk up without an Advanced Dining Reservation.  That's particularly true at the restaurants in the parks and less so at the restaurants in the resort hotels.

My recommendation is to always have Advanced Dining Reservations, especially if there are particular restaurants you want to experience!
