Week of 8/17. No meal plan. 6 adults, inexpensive dinner? Counter service fine, resort or park? Thank you:) Riverside had great counter service meals.

    Hello, Melissa,

With so many choices of counter service restaurant, it can certainly be overwhelming.  I'm happy to share many of my family's favorites, especially when on a budget:

Magic Kingdom: Sleepy Hollow has tasty waffle sandwiches if you arrive before 5:00. After that it does have daily soup, which is a great bargain. If you'd prefer a more heartier meal, Cosmic Rays has 1/2 a rotisserie chicken with sides that can easily be shared.  It offers a wide range of other selections, too, if your party is looking for different choices. I also like the choices at Columbia Harbor House where you could order salmon or a lobster roll if you'd like to get away from hamburgers and fries.

Epcot: Sunshine Seasons has a large selection of choices, including soups (my favorites for keeping costs down). I'd also recommend the newly renovated Boulangerie Patisserie in France where soups, sandwiches, and quiche are budget-friendly.

Disney's Animal Kingdom: Pizzafari serves pizza with a large side salad, which could easily be shared. We also like visiting Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge which is essentially next door to eat at The Mara for some unique dining experiences since many of the choices have a hint of inspiration from Africa.

Disney's Hollywood Studios: Both the ABC Commissary and Backlot Express have a variety of selections that are reasonably priced.

Have a great trip; please let us know if we can help again.
