Week of June 9, 2016, best park to visit on a Saturday and Sunday

    Hey, Barbara!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Picking the right day to visit Disney theme parks is a matter of finding when it is expected to be the least crowded. June begins the high season as kids pour our of school and a flood of families wash into Walt Disney World Resort. Never fear, with the right expectations you will have a blast.

June 11, 2016, visit Disney's Hollywood Studios because the night before hosts evening Extra Magic Hours which will bring Resort hotel Guests into the theme park increasing the numbers. Get there 30-45 minutes early and head to Toy Story Midway Mania! first. Be sure your FastPass+ reservations are planned out.

June 12, 2016, visit Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park because this day sits between two Extra Magic Hour Days. Resort Guests are likely to take advantage of the Extra Magic Hours making the theme park more crowded so going on a day without them will give you more room to ride. I also like Magic Kingdom Park. It will be more crowded with Guests arriving on Saturday wanting to start their trip at the "Most Magical Place on Earth" but without Extra Magic Hours will be more manageable. I suggest FastPass+ reservation for Seven Dwarfs Mine Train.

Disney Dad Tip: Orlando is very hot in June. Make sure to wear sunscreen and drink plenty of water. All Counter/Quick-Service locations will provide you with a free cup of water if you ask.

I hope this helps you plan an amazing vacation. Please let me know if you have any further questions.

Barbara, enjoy making many Magical Memories!
