just over a week before we head to our first WDW vacation and I just have not idea what to pack. Any suggestions on must haves and what do you recommend for shoes?

    HI Jody!

Thank you for visiting the Moms Panel!

A first visit to Walt Disney World is a very exciting one!

Starting with typical temperatures for February - the average high/low temperatures are 74/51, with an average monthly rainfall of 2.3 inches.

Casual, comfortable clothing is how most people dress at the parks.  Ensure you have suitable pieces to wear in case the weather reaches its warmest,  with extra layers to add in the event that the temperature drops.  You might want to wear less casual clothing during the evening, depending on where you intend to dine.  Many restaurants do not require you to wear anything different to the type of clothing you are wearing at the parks.  Signature restaurants, however, do require smarter dress.    The single most important tip I would give you about footwear is that it must be comfortable.  You will be doing a lot of walking   I ignored my own advice about footwear on a recent trip to Walt Disney World, and my feet suffered terribly.  The Magic Kingdom seems extremely large if your feet are sore!

If you have any other questions about your trip, please come back and ask me, I would be happy to help you plan your first magical vacation!
