Hey Teresa,
Welcome to planDisney! You’ll be visiting Walt Disney World during the week of my birthday which is a national holiday in my house. I might be a little jealous, but I am so happy for you! I love that you’re thinking about entertainment, Lightning Lanes and all things Disney World so early in the planning game. This tells me you’re poised to have a great time during your visit. Let’s see if I can help get you some answers.
Disney World’s entertainment calendar is currently only showing parades through most of June. They typically add details regarding entertainment later. Check the
Hours & Events Calendar about a month to 2 weeks prior to your arrival date to see what entertainment you can expect during your visit.
While guests who stay at a
Disney Resorts Collection Hotel can purchase
Lightning Lane passes 7 days prior to their arrival date, other guests can purchase their Lightning Lane passes 3 days prior to the start date of their date-based park tickets. Based on another question you’ve asked recently, it looks like you’ll be staying at
Signia by Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek which is a
Good Neighbor Hotel, but it is not a Disney Resort Hotel. As a result, you’ll be able to book your Lightning Lanes at 3 days prior to your ticket start date. You do, however, get the
Early Theme Park Entry benefit which allows guests of Disney Resorts and select hotels to enter all four theme parks 30 minutes before they open to day guests.
Magic Kingdom’s August calendar is not available yet, but check back in late May or early June. While we won’t know the hours or whether a private event is happening for sure until the calendar is released, Magic Kingdom tends to be open later in the summer months.
Hoping this information is helpful. If you have any additional questions, be sure to stop by planDisney again! TTFN… ta-ta for now!
