Week- 9/16, 2 days, park hopper, not staying at resort. 1. Scale: 1-10 crowds during WK 9/16 2. Can I park at one of the other parks, catch the fireworks at magic kingdom, and take monorail or skyline to get back to my car if one of those parks is close

    Hi Michael!

Welcome to planDisney!  There is nothing quite as exciting as planning your park days at Walt Disney World Resort.  With just two days in the parks, it's always a good idea to be thinking ahead about a plan to make the most of your time!

Michael, while crowds can vary from year to year and park to park, typically, the early weeks of September are less crowded than some other times of the year.  With school just starting around much of the country, many families recently had their summer vacations and aren't quite ready to start any fall break or holiday trips.  However, even with lighter crowds, you may find time-saving tools like Lightning Lane passes helpful with your 2-day ticket that includes the Park Hopper Option.  The new Lightning Lane passes can be purchased three days before your first park visit since you are not staying at a hotel in the Disney Resorts Collection.  With Lightning Lane Multi Pass, you can pre-select three attractions in a single theme park where you can bypass the standby queue.  If you purchase Lightning Lane Multi Pass, you'll notice that you can't make your pre-arrival selections from multiple parks, but once you redeem your first selection, you can make any additional same-day selections and modify existing selections (based on availability) to other theme parks since your ticket includes park hopping.

When it comes to parking, you may find transportation options back to your car later at night limited if those other parks have closed.  You’ll be happy to know though that parking fees at the theme parks are only charged once per day regardless of how many times you move your car.  Just make sure you keep your parking receipt to show when you move your car from one park to the next.  You may also be interested in using the Car Locator feature found inside the My Disney Experience Mobile App to help you remember where you parked at each location.

Michael, I hope this information is helpful and that you enjoy a fantastic visit to Walt Disney World Resort!  If you have any other questions, please stop by to see us again here at planDisney!

    See ya real soon!
