Going the week after Christmas- Dec 29-Jan 3. Three teens- one loves Star Wars, one loves lion king... What are the must sees, where do we dine, are there special activities for Christmas or New Years. I know it will be busy... so we need a plan.

Hello Courtney! I am so glad that I was able to snag this question! We've got a lot in common! Like you, I'm from Pennsylvania, have teens, and we love Star Wars and the Lion King! Let's see what we can do about getting you some good tips for your visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth at the most magical time of year!

For the Star Wars fan in your family you must visit Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge at Disney's Hollywood Studios. Arrive early (like, park opening early) to secure a boarding pass for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. This will be the highlight of the vacation for your Star Wars fan! Also be sure to snag a FastPass+ reservation for Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run! If that Star Wars loving teen is on Santa's "good list" this year, then head over to Savi's Workshop to build your own lightsaber. You can reserve this special experience 180-days prior to your visit.

Disney's Animal Kingdom is going to be the "mane" event for the Lion King fan! Be sure to get a FastPass+ reservation for Festival of the Lion King. This show ties together the music and characters of the Lion King into a broadway and acrobatics-like extravaganza. If the Lion King fan is also on Santa's "good list" then you might want to consider the Festival of the Lion King Signature Dining Package. There are two tiers for this package. The biggest difference between the two packages is that tier one includes a visit to a safari tour and tier two does not include the safari.

Finally, my family's favorite Christmastime activity is at Magic Kingdom Park! Each year, this park hosts Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. This special-ticketed event is typically held from 7:00PM through midnight on select nights from November through the end of the holiday season. The great news is that Guests holding tickets for this event are typically allowed to enter the park as early as 4:00PM. Make this event your visit to Magic Kingdom Park. If you do this, you won't need to visit on another day! This experience will give you the full feel of the holiday season. The party is complete with Christmas music, decorations, complimentary cookies and coco, holiday-themed parade and fireworks and "snow" on Main Street, U.S.A!

Courtney, I hope this gives you some ideas for beginning to plan your holiday visit to the Walt Disney World Resort! You've selected a great time of the year to visit!
