    Is the week of April 26 - May 2, 2009 a good time to visit in terms of crowds and weather? This is a great forum! Very informative!!!

    Hi Gloria.  In both cases, the week you indicate should be quite good.    As for the weather, end of April and early May is generally very nice.   You can expect warm but not overly humid weather and rain amounts are generally relatively low.    I live in Florida and really enjoy that time of year for these reasons.

     

    As for crowd levels, this week falls in that slightly slower period that arrives after Easter/Spring Break and before Memorial Day/Start of Summer.    Easter in 2009 is earlier in April (April 12) so those crowds will be well gone by the time you arrive.  In addition, I find that spring break crowds slow by end of April (I live in a popular Spring Break destination in Florida as well).

     

    So, if you are considering this week and are focused on this general timeframe, I think this is a relatively good choice.    Hope this helps!
