Since we are going from a Wednesday to Wednesday, will we have a harder time making ADRs? It seems that most people go from Sat to Sat. I'm starting to think all the ADRs will be filled for our first few days there. What do you think?

    Hi Holly!

My family travels on all kinds of wacky departure and arrival dates.  I've found that the key to securing the reservations you are most interested in is to call exactly at the 90 day mark for your reservation.  If you are staying at a Disney property, you will be able to make reservations that day for your entire visit.  To make the reservation call go smoothly, I recommend writing out a list of what restaurants you want and a time frame you'd be happy with (i.e., you want to go to Crystal Palace on Tuesday for dinner between 5 and 6:30).  In addition, I'd have a couple of alternate choices available as well.  I've found that even if I can't get my choice for my "original" day and/or time request, the cast member helping me has been able to find anther great choice, and then schedule the "original" choice for another day on the vacation.

At certain times of the year (peak season, free dining promotions) calling at the 90 day mark becomes super important if your heart is set on certain restaurants.  I know it sounds like a lot of planning, but it helps for ensuring a fabulous vacation in the end!

    Have a great trip!
