We have a wedding that is next to WDW and decided to add a Disney Vacation! It will be 3 adults (my mom, my husband, and myself) as well as two children (2.5 yrs and 7 mths). I am debating between Cabins at FW or AOA resort. Which one would be better?

Hi Karissa! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

I think that it is absolutely wonderful that you decided to extend what I am sure will already be a joyous time, and continue that at the Walt Disney World Resort!

If I had to choose between the two resort hotels that you listed, hands down I would choose Disney’s Art of Animation Resort. The theme of this resort is just incredible in my opinion. I love that this resort offers a suite set up. Each suite has a master bedroom with a queen bed, a double-size convertible TableBed, living room, a double-size sleeper sofa, and my favorite: two bathrooms and a kitchenette. These suites in my opinion are spacious and the amenities and feeling of “newness” win me over. I have always found a great variety of food in the food court. The main Finding Nemo themed pool is so much fun, and my kids spend a lot of time at the interactive kid’s water play area. One of my other favorite reasons to stay at this resort is because you don’t have numerous bus stop pick up’s and drop offs, and you don’t share your Disney bus with any other resort hotels! This makes life a lot easier at the end of a long day with little ones!

I always like to recommend that when you’re visiting the parks, utilize the Baby Care Centers. They have been a lifesaver for us. They have full size changing tables, private bathrooms, a nursing area, and even an area with kid cartoons playing for the toddlers. It is a nice and comfortable environment that gives us a great place to cool off and regroup!

Lastly, check out the Planning for Preschool Kids and Little Ones section of Walt Disney Worlds website. This area is full of great ideas and tips for a successful vacation with little ones!

I hope that you and your family have a wonderful time filled with memories that will last a lifetime!
