Going for a wedding in March. I am staying in Disney in the wedding block, and also bought 9 days worth of park hopper tickets. BUT, I was told that I did not qualify for the dining plan because I am not booking a "package". How is that possible

    Hi Maggie,

I certainly understand your confusion.  If you are staying on Disney property and purchased Disney theme park tickets, why can't you participate in the Disney Dining Plan as well?  If you bought your theme park tickets separately (not as part of this specific reservation), you are not eligible to include the Disney Dining Plan for this trip.  This has happened to me in the past also.  On one trip I purchased my theme park tickets in advance at AAA.  Another time I bought them at a Disney Store in my area.  When I used these tickets instead of ones purchased in conjunction with my Disney resort reservation I was not able to add the Disney Dining Plan to my reservation.  I was disappointed to be sure as my family loves the Disney Dining Plan.

I hope this explanation clarifies your situation and that you will have a lovely trip in March.

Best wishes, and thanks for posting your question to the Moms Panel!
