As a wedding gift, I received an undated ticket for both parks. Is it possible to upgrade the ticket for 2 days? I think one day is too little for us for both parks to see.

Hi there, Lucia Michaela! Welcome to planDisney!

Oh boy! First of all, congratulations on your wedding—what a joyful moment to celebrate! And truly, Disneyland Resort tickets are such a thoughtful and magical wedding gift. What a wonderful way to begin creating new memories together!

Now, let’s get your question answered! In many cases, you should be able to upgrade an unused standard theme park ticket to add a second day. The main exception would be if the ticket was originally purchased as part of a limited-time special offer, since those sometimes come with different terms. And I completely agree with you: one day just isn’t long enough to explore everything the Disneyland Resort has to offer, especially if you want to enjoy both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park!

I recommend opening the Disneyland mobile app, tapping the menu (☰) button, and selecting “My Tickets & Passes.” If your ticket is already linked to your MyDisney account, it will appear there. If not, you can link it by tapping the blue plus (+) icon in the top right corner, choosing “Link Tickets & Passes”, and following the on-screen instructions. Once the ticket is linked and visible in the app, you may find an option to change or modify the ticket displayed right below the barcode. If that option appears, you should be able to add another day directly from your mobile device.

If you don’t see that option, your next best step is to call the Disneyland Resort ticket services phone line and speak with a friendly Cast Member who can walk you through the upgrade process. Since it sounds like you may be calling from outside the United States, just keep in mind that international charges may apply. Once you get your tickets squared away, don't forget to also make theme park reservations for the dates you'd like to visit!

Before I send you off on your planning adventure, Lucia Michaela, here’s a quick tip: the Disneyland mobile app will be incredibly helpful during your visit, offering attraction wait times, mobile food and beverage ordering, and all your plans in one place. And if your magical getaway brings you to the parks during the Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration—which is scheduled to run through at least Summer 2026 —you’re in for an unforgettable experience! This milestone event includes so many vibrant offerings, like the joyful Celebrate Happy Cavalcade, whose catchy tune tends to stick in my head long after it passes by! It’s truly a wonderful time to take in the best of what both parks have to offer.

I truly hope this info is helpful, Lucia Michaela! What a joyful way to celebrate your wedding—beginning your newest chapter at The Happiest Place on Earth. I just know you’re going to have a wonderful time exploring the parks, discovering your favorite moments, and making memories you’ll treasure for years to come. If you have any other questions along the way, please don’t hesitate to stop by and see us again here at planDisney!

    Have a magical day!
