Susan from Baja Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

We'd like to visit Disney Worldwhen there are less ppl. Aug 19th to 22 or 26th to 29th. We don't have park tickets or a hotel. We'd like to stay super close to the parks. we are 2 adults and 3 kids (8, 10, 14).

Hi there Susan, Welcome to planDisney! Thank you for stopping by with your excellent question. I'm thrilled to assist you! How exciting that you're planning a trip to Walt Disney World Resort! You are sure to make awesome memories at The Most Magical Place on Earth!

Here at planDisney we are the place to help guests plan their most magical trips! We are the official digital resource for helpful tips, heartfelt advice, and unique insights from real Guests who have mastered the art of planning Disney vacations. Whether you have a question about a theme park, restaurant, service, shop, hotel or activity, we are here to help you get the most out of your Walt Disney World Resort Vacation! We would be happy to answer any and every planning question you have! From planning in the beginning to the day you checkout and everything in between!

When my family and I start planning, my first step is to jump on the Walt Disney World website and use the Build Your Vacation tool at the top of the Walt Disney World Resort homepage. There you are able to enter your vacation dates, total number of adults and children (if any) in your party and you can search all resorts or just one if you have a favorite. You are then able to see the cost per night and can select the package option. The page will then populate the total cost of resort and tickets. Before checking out, you'll be able to select a base ticket or the Park Hopper Option!

That being said, Disney's Contemporary Resort is my family's absolute favorite! If you're looking to stay close to the parks, you can't beat this resort! It boasts its own walking path to Magic Kingdom Park, providing a convenient alternative to the monorail and bus services. Speaking of which, my kids love the monorail, which passes right through the center of the resort! The dining options here are fantastic as well. One of my favorites is Chef Mickey's, where you can enjoy a delightful character dining experience with a buffet and visits from Mickey Mouse and friends.

Susan, I hope you find this information helpful as you prepare for an exciting visit to Walt Disney World Resort! Please feel free to reach out to me directly with any specific questions you may have. I would love to help! Thank you again for visiting planDisney. Have a magical day!
