Jambo, Karen! Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question. I know you've got to be getting so excited about your upcoming trip to Walt Disney World. March is a fabulous time to visit, the weather is just perfect! My daughter's birthday is in March and it never fails, we always seem to find ourselves there during that time. You are going to love it!
I, too, enjoy visiting different Walt Disney World Resort Hotels while I am on vacation. It's so fun to look around and try out some of the yummy food offerings from each resort. Snacking is a hobby of mine and I've got a great suggestion for you once we've gotten you there. To get to
Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge from
Disney's Pop Century Resort, I feel like you have two great options. The first would be to take a bus directly to Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park. Once there, you'll need to switch buses to get over to the resort but it's so close it'll be less than a 5-minute ride. I think that route is a very easy, straightforward way to get there. The only downside is the time it takes to load scooters on and off a bus. If you didn't want to take two buses, alternatively, you could take the
Disney Skyliner from Disney's Pop Century Resort to
Disney's Hollywood Studios. You will need to change Skyliner lines at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort first to head to Disney's Hollywood Studios. From there, you'd still need to take a bus over to Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. This could be a really fun route, especially if you haven't taken a ride on the Disney Skyliner yet. Also, it's very easy and pretty quick for scooters to board a gondola. Your party will be directed to a separate queue with stationary gondolas that make it easy for scooters to just drive on in. Once everyone is settled the gondola will begin moving and whisk you off to your destination. You have two great options depending on what your party wants to do! Either way, you'll be at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge in no time.
There's nothing like walking into Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. The lobby is adorned with floor-to-ceiling windows showcasing the over 30 species of African wildlife on the property. It does truly feel like you are out on the savanna. If you can snag a table at
Sanaa for lunch or dinner while you are there, I highly recommend trying the Indian-style Bread Service. It's a fan favorite and not just with me! This appetizer includes a choice of five breads which are Traditional Naan, Garlic-Ginger Naan, Spiced Naan, Onion Kulcha, or Paneer Paratha and all 9 accompaniments of Cucumber Raita, Roasted Red Pepper Hummus, Mango Chutney, Tomato-Date Jam, Tamarind Chutney, Coriander Chutney, Garlic Pickle, Red Chile Sambal, or Spicy Jalapeño-Lime Pickle. This appetizer is flavor-packed and really fun to try. If you can't get a table, the
Sanaa Lounge also offers this appetizer on their menu and seating is first-come, first-serve.
I hope this helps you find your way over to Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge during your vacation to Walt Disney World. If you have any other questions, I'd love for you to come back and ask. Enjoy!
