We’d like to plan a family vacation but would need to a payment plan if possible. If we booked the vacation thru Disney how long would we have to pay it off ? We don’t know when we would come. Our granddaughter is only 2.

Greetings Daniel and welcome to planDisney!

First off, congratulations on having the best job in the world...grandpa! I have four grandsons and the youngest will turn two in October!  That little rascal has already been to Walt Disney World twice in his life, once when he was just two months old, and just last month his parents took him for a weeklong adventure with his five-year-old brother!  They had a blast!  So, any age is the right age to enjoy a trip to the magic!  As a grandparent you will evolve in how you take in the sights and sounds of a Disney adventure as your grandchildren grow up.  It is one of my favorite things about being a grandparent!

Daniel, let’s get you to the heart of your question.  Yes, once you are ready to dive in and start making your plans, Disney makes it easy to make those payments! If you are booking a Walt Disney World vacation package that includes a Disney Resorts Collection hotel and Theme Park Tickets, you will make an initial deposit at the time of purchase and then you will be required to make the final payment 30 days before your arrival date.  There is no official monthly payment plan; you are allowed to make payments at your convenience up until that 30-day mark on your My Disney Experience account.   One thing to note though, is that there is no payment plan option if you are only purchasing a hotel room or only purchasing theme park tickets. The payment for individual purchases is due in full at the time of purchase.

Daniel, I suggest checking out the Special Offers, Deals & Discounts page and bookmarking it while you are looking at future reservations.  This will allow you to take advantage of any specials that might be going on during the time frame that you are thinking of taking your trip.

Another good starting point would be this vacation planning web page that will get you familiar with the resorts, the theme parks, the dining plans, and the best fits for your family! Take some time to search through all of the resorts and find the perfect spot for your magical adventure!

Daniel, once you have settled on a date for your trip and you have found that perfect Disney resort to call home, come on back to planDisney for any questions you might have, and we’ll be here to help you!  Have a great time planning and have an even better time on your magical adventure. Oh, and don’t forget to enjoy a Mickey Bar or two!
