We’d like to get married at Epcot next year and want some advice on having a wedding in the theme park during the Food and Wine festival

Hello there Mel, I'd like to wish you a warm wedding welcome to planDisney!

One of the most unique parts about having a Disney Wedding at Walt Disney World Resort is being able to plan your celebrations at the Theme Parks; there really is nothing like being able to come back and remember the moment that you got married in that particular spot. As a recently-featured Disney's Fairy Tale Weddings couple, we spent a lot of time exploring options at EPCOT that would make the experience memorable for us and our guests during a festival! Here are my top Disney Wedding tips for getting married at EPCOT:

    • Receptions may take place while EPCOT guests are still in the Theme Park, and you might have to make your way through crowds of festival-goers which was the case for our Dessert Party. On the other hand, there really is nothing like receiving hundreds of cheers and congratulations as you are escorted past in your wedding attire! Currently, you aren't able to have any amplified music in outdoor locations until after EPCOT has fully closed to day guests, so some couples opt for indoor locations like the American Adventure Rotunda.
    • While your wedding guests won't require Theme Park admission to attend your events, fees may be applied per guest for additions like Fireworks viewing or an Attraction Mix-In; we found that this really made our guests feel like VIPs having exclusive access to these experiences as the perfect way to cap off our wedding day! What could be more fitting than seeing a nighttime spectacular called Luminous - The Symphony of Us?
I found it very useful to follow Disney's Fairy Tale Weddings and communities for DisBrides and DisGrooms online and be inspired by the stories of couples on resources like the Ever After Blog and the Disney Wedding Podcast, especially to get an idea of the timeline of each event and see examples of how you can really make the spaces at EPCOT your own! In the meantime, don't hesitate to come back to ask me anything else as you plan for your big day at the Most Magical Place on Earth.

Wishing you both the best as you celebrate the future, hand in hand!
