We'd like to give our kids a little spending money for our trip in August. Are we able to allot a set amount to their MagicBands or link a Disney gift card to their bands? Thanks for your help!

    Hi Karen!

Thank you for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel.  I love this question, as we do the same for our oldest.  MagicBands make it so easy to give him a little something to spend and not worry about him losing his money or cards.  During your resort check-in, simply notify the Cast Member that you would like to set a spending limit on their MagicBands.  The Cast Member will be happy to assign the spending limit, link the same credit card (or a different one) to their accounts and even assign them a unique PIN number that will be easy for them to remember.  To make a purchase they will simply touch their MagicBand to the sensor or touch point, enter their PIN and the complete the transaction. Once they hit their spending limit, they will be unable to make further purchases, but their MagicBands will still have their active tickets and FastPass+ selections, be able to open your resort room door and save Disney PhotoPass photos.

I wish you a wonderful vacation Karen and please, ask me another question if there is anything else I may assist you with.

    Magical Wishes,
