We'd like to book a character breakfast, perhaps at one of the resorts, but are wondering, if it's not the resort we're staying at (Port Orleans French Quarter), how would we get there so early in the morning?

Welcome to planDisney Rachel, and thanks so much for bringing us your question! Your upcoming trip to Walt Disney World Resort sounds like it's shaping up to be truly magical, and I love that you’re thinking ahead to include a character breakfast, it’s such a memorable way to start the day! Dining with your favorite Disney characters is always a hit, and I’d be happy to help you figure out the best way to get to your breakfast reservation.

If you're trying to get to another Disney resort from Port Orleans French Quarter for breakfast before the parks open, the best approach is to first take a bus to the nearest park that opens early, usually Magic Kingdom or EPCOT then transfer to that resort's transportation from there. For example, if you're heading to Chef Mickey’s at the Contemporary, take a bus to Magic Kingdom and either walk or take the monorail to the Contemporary. For breakfast at ‘Ohana at the Polynesian, also head to Magic Kingdom, then use the monorail or boat to get to the Polynesian.

Alternatively, the easiest and most reliable way, especially if your breakfast is before 8:00 am, is to use a ride share service such as Minnie Van Service Connected by Lyft. This gets you directly from Port Orleans French Quarter to the resort and typically only takes 10–15 minutes depending on your destination.

Rachel, I hope this helps you get everything set up for your magical adventure at Walt Disney World Resort! Thank you for visiting planDisney, and have a pixie dusted day!
