What is the weather usually like during Halloween at Disney World and is it extra crowded during that time?

Oh my Karyn! Your question is almost impossible to answer as Florida weather can change so quickly and be so different from year to year. I have spent the last 6-8 years at Walt Disney World over the Halloween dates and each year I go prepared for just about anything.

I will say that it has rarely rained at that time to ruin any events we had planned. Of course if there are late tropical storm actions out in the gulf you can get something different. There have been Halloweens where the temperatures were extremely warm and others where we needed light wraps. If you are considering costumes I suggest something that would be cool enough during a warm night but could have a long sleeve shirt added to it if necessary. Before you head out and before you pack check some of the on line weather sites such as weather channel, or weather.com, or accuweather and look at their 10 day forecasts.

Halloween is a busy time in the parks and resorts but it usually is just a day or two before and after the actual Halloween date. Campsites at Fort Wilderness book up close to a year in advance and the first date to sell out for Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party is Halloween night. The park is crowded but it is also festive with everyone coming in costumes and having a fun time trick or treating and enjoying the entertainment. The Touringplan site is a great one to see when the crowds tend to be the largest at any time of the year.
