Hi Shani!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for sailing by with your question about the Very Merrytime Sailing you have scheduled for later this year! With the cold winter upon you, I am sure you are already daydreaming about the sunny adventures that await you…and I can’t think of a better escape than a Disney Cruise Line vacation!
While you can never be so sure about weather, I would say that during your December voyage you can expect very nice weather! The temperatures in the
Bahamas during the day will likely be in the mid to upper 70s with lots of sunshine, which to me sounds lovely! The evenings will cool down a bit, but certainly will be pleasant and enjoyable. I always suggest bringing a cardigan or sweater for dinner service and throughout the ship as they usually have the air conditioning going strong. Your stateroom is equipped with its own thermostat, so you’ll be able to set it to your comfort level while enjoying the comforts of your “home away from home”. From my experiences of traveling during what I would consider colder months (fall or winter), the weather usually ends up being warmer than I would have expected and sometimes I even find that I have “overpacked” with long pants or jeans and would have rather had more shorts. As your sail date approaches, I recommend checking the weather forecast in case of a significant warming or cool front approaching so you can accurately prepare.
So much fun awaits you onboard and I hope you’ve set a countdown clock to help you get through these cold, winter months! If you haven’t set one yet, you can find one on the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app which you will also find extremely helpful while on your voyage.
Happy Sailing!
Stephanie
