Weather forecasts says rain, rain and more rain during our stay (oct 8th-13th) :( What are the odds of that actually happening - and any tips on how to make the most of our trip despite the weather?

    Welcome BACK, Sofia!

There's a scene in The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh where the heavens open and "the rain rain rain came down, down, down!" But your Disney Days won't put you in an Eeyore mood as Disney is well-prepared for wet weather. Definitely bring a rain jacket and extra socks, but should you find yourself in the middle of a shower, you can find iconic Disney ponchos, as well as umbrellas, at most shops and merchandise kiosks. Ponchos can even be used as a makeshift stroller cover!

While you might get wet this week, the good news about Orlando rain showers is that they last anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours, so your trip won't be a total washout. Disney Imagineers have designed a lot of attractions, Character meet & greets, and dining locations to be fully indoors, which will all run as normal. Most of the rides that do have outside sections will still operate in a light to moderate rain. Disney PhotoPass Photographers will even stay outside in a drizzle.

Download the My Disney Experience Mobile App so you can see which rides are closed, and what the wait times are of those that are open so you'll know where to go next.

If you have a FastPass+ reservation for an attraction that does close due to rain during your ride window, that pass will auto-Magically turn into a really cool 'Any Experience Pass' which will allow you to return to that same attraction later in the day once it does re-open, or it can be used at any other attraction in that same park.

Pro Tip: If it happens to rain while you're at Disney's Animal Kingdom, head to the Animal Encounters or Kilimanjaro Safaris. The animals LOVE to play in the rain, even those who usually sleep all day.

Think dry thoughts, and We'll See You Real Soon, Sofia!
