Weather forecast has dampened our spirit as it is goin to ro rain /tstorm frm may 13-16 pls advise on rides n rain gears n how to enjoi the most in rains. also i had posted few other ques wz awaitin answers. do thy hv microwave in the resort.

    Hi Sheetal,

Please don't let the rain dampen your spirits while at Walt Disney World.  In fact, it can be a great advantage to visit the Disney theme parks while it's raining because the crowds are often much lighter which makes the lines for attractions shorter.  In general, people don't know how much fun it can be to visit the parks in the rain.  Many of the attractions are fully covered so the rain will have very little impact on your experience.

As for rain gear, I suggest you purchase an inexpensive poncho for each member of your family. Place them in a backpack at the beginning of your day and then you can pull them out at a moment's notice when you need them. You can find these at just about any dollar store or chain like Walmart or Target.  You could also purchase these in the theme parks, but they will be far more expensive there.  Also, bring waterproof sandals for your family.  Wet socks and sneakers can put a real damper on the day so have alternative footwear with you.

Keep in mind that many thunderstorms in Florida are fleeting.  I've seen quite a few of them pass very quickly so don't assume that the rain will last all day.  Even if it does, however, I'd rather spend a rainy day at Walt Disney World than a sunny day just about anywhere else.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
