What is the weather like in Florida in october

Warm greetings from the Sunshine State, Irene! Welcome to planDisney!

I'm so glad you stopped by to answer this question about the weather while you're thinking about your Walt Disney World Resort vacation. As a lifelong Floridian, I think so many people forget to plan for Florida's weird, wonderful weather. But not you! You're a planner after my own heart, Irene!

Fall at Walt Disney World is a bushel full of fun, and the weather is still warm and sunny! Especially early in the month, it will be pretty hot in the afternoon, with highs in the mid-to-upper 80s. At night, you can expect lows in the mid-to-upper 60s. Be sure to bring sunscreen and light clothing, and stay hydrated. If you're coming later in the month, say around Halloween, it may get cooler in the evenings, but it will still be pretty mild. My best advice is to keep an eye on the forecast about a week before your trip, so you know exactly what to expect.

Irene, while you're making plans, be sure to check out planDisney's Panel Extras page! We've collected our favorite tips and hints on things like what to pack, selecting a Disney Resort hotel, vacation planning tools, and lots more. There's enough there to make your planner's heart very happy!

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
