How is the weather in the end of March and beginning of April? How should i pack for my self and kids?

Hello, Stephanie, and welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I've a weather eye on the horizon for you, so let's chat about what the winds are stirring up for your Walt Disney World Resort vacation.

So, I'm just going to apologize to you right up front, because I'm a lifelong Floridian and we Floridians are just a bit obsessed with the weather. I'm not sure if it's because our weather can be really, really great or really, really weird, but either way - get a Sunshine Stater talking weather and we're likely to talk your ear off.

Late March and early April are usually pretty balmy in these parts. I think, coming from Rhode Island, you'll find it really comfortable. Just to be thorough, I checked AccuWeather for the "official" temperatures, and it lists an average high of 80 and low of 59. It can vary a bit, but that sounds about right to me. Plus, the rainy season doesn't kick in until June, so it should be relatively dry. I'd pack mostly warm-weather clothes, along with light jackets for chillier evenings (and air-conditioned buildings!).

And Stephanie, be sure to pack the swimsuits! While this Florida girl doesn't go swimming until a bit later in the year, you may find it perfect weather for hitting your Resort hotel pool. Plus, at least one of the Disney water parks is usually open, so you might even consider taking a plunge.

One last piece of advice - while it should be nice and warm, the odd Florida cold front isn't impossible in late spring, so just double-check the forecast a few days before you leave. Otherwise, you can be prepared for fun in the sun!

I hope this helps you plan a magical vacation, Stephanie. Wishing you clear skies and warm Disney days!

    Keep Disney Dreaming,

    Kathy K.

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
